Dear alumni
It is our pleasure to bring you the 6th issue of our bi-annual EEE Alumni e-newsletter.
As we approach this joyous Christmas season, I extend warm greetings to our EEE alumni members. This festive time is not only a celebration of togetherness but also an opportunity to reflect on the incredible journey our school has undertaken over
the years. To mark Singapore Polytechnic's 70th Anniversary, we have launched a commemorative book titled ‘For All Ages, Singapore Polytechnic At Seventy’, featuring some of the people and moments that have shaped us through the years.
The upcoming year will also be filled with special events. Look out for announcements and invitations as we come together to celebrate 70 years of excellence at the school and polytechnic levels, forging memories and connections that will last
a lifetime.
In this edition, we are proud to feature our EEE alumni, Mr Felix Lee, who was among Forbes' 30 Under 30 Asia List. Felix founded a startup company ADPList during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021 to help people who had lost their jobs. The startup has since grown into a global community with over 14,000 mentors from 140 countries and hosting 15 million minutes of mentoring sessions on subjects such as product design, data science and software development.
We are also delighted to share about the outstanding achievements of our EEE students. They continue to shine in prestigious competitions, both locally and regionally. EEE team won 1st prize at the inaugural InnovateFest2023 (Polytechnic category) with their app “SportyBuddies”.
EEE Team Smurf Account attained 2nd place in the CloudHacks 2023 competition. Teams comprising of EEE students clinched the 1st and 2nd positions at the recently concluded National Robotics Competition (NRC) 2023 for the NRC 2023 CoSpace Autonomous
Driving Challenge (Tertiary Category). Join us in celebrating their remarkable success.
At EEE, we aim to keep our alumni, like you, updated on industry trends besides the happenings in our school. We hope this e-newsletter will help achieve this.
Wishing you a joyful festive season, and here's to the excitement that the next year holds for EEE and its extraordinary community.
Yours sincerely
